    FVD / Manthey Motors

    I'm considering an ECU stage 1 or stage 2 upgrade on my 996 turbo -01.
    Is there anyone here who has any experience with FVD or Manthey Motors and would like to share it??

    FVD seem to have a relatively low price. Is the quality/standard of there products also low, or is it a praiseworthy solution?

    I'm thinking about FVD's "Level 1 360 kW (490 PS)" (Sport Motronic DME exch/Sport Airfilter) or "Level 2 375 kW (510 PS)" (Sport Motronic DME exch/Sport Airfilter/Sport Sportmuffler) upgrade.







    Why should I pay twice the money to have these products from Manthey Motors ?



    I know...many questions..
    Most grateful for any answers!

    Based on my personal opinion:

    Go with Manthey but you have to be aware of one thing:
    these power upgrades deliver a noticeable substantial performance difference only above 100 mph.
    Especially the "level 1" kits.

    I'd tune the suspension setup first and if this isn't enough, add more power.
    Also don't forget that more power also makes the Turbo more difficult to drive at the limit.
    For the german Autobahn, such power upgrades may be worth the money. For speed limited countries, pretty much thrown out money.

    Probably depends on where you are driving RC. Sure, in the UK driving on motorways it would be pointless, but there are plenty of non-main roads on which that sort of performance can be used (if the driver is up to it).
