DETAILED DRIVER/TEAM POST Q ANALYSIS
http://www.formula1.com/news/features/2010/3/10522.html
Red Bull and Ferrari are happy
McLaren and Mercedes a bit surprised at the considerable distance, but they still very much up there.
Renault is just happy they got one into Q3
Force India is also good as expected with 10th on the hard tires.
Williams and Sauber both seem very much at their limit. With the teams ahead of them it will be quite the challenge to climb the ladder this season. I imagine disappointment for both teams.
Toro Rosso is steady at the end of the pack of exsisting teams but could challenge both Sauber and Williams.
VIrgin showed good work with the best Q of the newcomers! I expect surprises from Glock in this car as they gain more confidence through the season.
Lotus did not impress but at least got the cars out and running, their learning curve will be steep this year but i enjoy seeming them race.
HRT has probably the most work ahead of them, given their position. For them its just good to see both cars in Q and collecting data at this point!
Boy o boy, this will be a great season, the teams are much closer than i imagined and so much could really change in the course of the season. 4 teams appear to have a slight advantage over the pack, but the line is blurred and development/tweaking could easier have Williams, Sauber and even Force India challenge the top 4 and snap some critical points from past worldchamps. Vettel is as hoped, in 110% form and his team have not lost the edge, they really seem to want it this year! it good to see Fcars back on top but im not so interested in them this season. I hope Massa will take more points than Alonso, but he will fight hard for his points. McLaren will be interesting to watch with both champs in the team and might get some inhouse competition that could hurt or push them. Mercedes is off to a great start, but this goes to show that they have a lot of work to do before they can win races, but they will! As for the close runner ups williams, sauber and force india, it will be very difficult to pass the 4 but it will happen at times in rainy conditions or absurd track accidents.

indeed shifting is ancient technology - so is a fuel burning engine.. I happen to like both :)
