    I got the same silver 997 but without the small plate for the engraved initials and delivery date. Actually, they ran out of the 997's during factory collection and gave me a 987 instead. I got the silver 997 a few days later. Maybe that is the reason why the small plate is missing. I don't mind since I don't use a keyring anyway for all the reasons already mentioned here by others.

    Hey Eric, how do you keep that from falling out of your pocket? It's rather slippery just by itself. I've had mine come out a couple times which is why I relented to adding a keyring.

    Hey Jason, my suit pants have fairly deep pockets, and I haven't had the misfortunate of the key falling out of my jeans pockets. I often wear a jacket and just leave the key in one of the outer pockets, no problems so far!

    By the way, got a 5G iPod and no problems with drained iPods so far with the Dension Gateway 500.

    Will be installing the Tooki kit soon, please wish me luck!

    That chrome 997 is so awesome as a keyring! Would love it. Currently, I only have an empty ring on my carkey, because it fell out of my pocket a couple of times without.

    If this were from the Porsche Selection Catalog and had a Porsche Logo on a nice sterling silver machined alloy case it would be a must have! Can't go to PCA meetings and events without one!
