    yeah you might be onto something Ben. But Ferrari is kinda silly to be broken down at intersection when trying to get into the executive parking garage.

    Even if what you say were to become _truer_ it doesn't bother me. By the time everybody catches onto a new perception of Porsche I'll be into Bentleys.

    I've yet to read about anyone having meaningful or frequent problems with their 360s (unlike the myriad of stories i've heard re: 996s, Boxsters, 997s, Cayennes). I pound my Stradale with the same fervor with which I drove my ultra reliable 996 for four years (as was my 993) and will let you know if the Stradale is nearly as reliable (it is already LIGHT YEARS ahead of our POS Cayenne Turbo in terms of problems and reliability). So far, so good - no, so great! Btw, if you look at JD Powers, the perception has not only caught Porsche but is chewinig on it's ass! Porsche resales and residuals appear to have crossed the perception trail already as well.

    997 with a vette...what a comparison..ok whats next?997 with a dopped evo 8?

    Yep, that's kind of like comparing a Porsche with an Fcar, eh? Those two cars also produce similar times with a similar cost differential yet one is clearly much better than the other in terms of driving experience and one is common place whilst the other is not. The odd thing is though, Porsche guys will defend their cars until the bitter end against Ferrari but then hypocritically do the same against the Vette using the SAME argument! FWIW, despite having a Cayenne (POS) Turbo and a 996 cab (happily reliable for 4 years as was my previous 993) as well as a Stradale, I bet it's more likely I pick up the next Z06 than another Pcar.
