    Does anibody knows if is possible the rain-rm on the back Wi

    Does anibody knows if is possible the rainarm on the back Window of the 997?
    My dealer says yes for 500Eu. What it didn't said to me is that he wasn't shore for the cabling system on board. He wasn't shore about the rear electrical connection.

    Giuan, are you thinking of "retro-fitting" a rear window wiper arm? That is, fitting it at the dealer after the car has initially been delivered without the wiper arm?

    I think it would be too expensive to make sense. The mounting point for the arm is in the rear window glass so, even if the electrical connection is available for the motor at the rear and for the switch (on the steering column or dash?), you would also need to exchange the rear window glass for one with a hole for wiper arm shaft, plus cost of motor and arm, etc..

    It is possible but I doubt the 500 Euro figure the dealer gave you. If he can do it for 500 Euro, DO IT. But get it black on white from him because on the 996, it was pretty difficult. For example you needed the drill the hole, apply paint, protective paint, anti-corrosive, install the cables, connectors, switch, etc. I had a quote of over 2000 DEM a few years ago, pretty much for a rear wiper retrofit.

    If you're using your car as a daily driver and if it rains a lot in your region, it makes sense. Otherwise, save your money and get the PSE (Porsche Sport Exhaust) instead.

    Why not use Rain-X instead?

    Water will sheet off easily and you only have to apply it once or twice a year.
