Yeah but, was he in "proper" driving position? You're supposed to be able to bend your wrists over the top of the wheel inorder to be driving "safely" on a track or the streets.

Good point MMD. I'm 6'3" tall with long legs and a shorter torso and it was too hard for me to have room to operate the manual trans, the wheel didn't telescope enough. My legs kept bumping into the steering wheel. I had to opt for the tip instead..

Yes, he was. He is quite thin and has the proportions (length of legs and length of arms) so that the seating and driving position is proper.

I would agree that not all 6'4" drivers would be able to get the proper driving position. Someone with much longer legs and shorter arms, even with the steering wheel adjustment, would probably not be able to get into the correct driving position.

Porsche should consider making it possible to lengthen the steering wheel adjustment and installing brake, clutch, and accelerator peddles that can be adjusted.

Yeah, excellent point and doesn't look like it would take much to have an "extend wheel" option.

BUT reaching the manual gearshift, how would they do that? Put an extension on it?

There's ALOT of leg room in the car, it's just that IT SEEMS nobody can reach the wheel with seat all the way back.

Strange because there's supposedly alot of rich basketballers and other large-frame athletes that own Porsches.
