    Re: Pajun - 2019 Launch?

This car will have some real potential. Personally like the proportions on this car much better than the Panamera. Bigger cars tend to just look "too big" which in my view is the case for the Panamera. Panamera junior (Pajun) will however never be the real name of this car. Same thing with the Macan that was called Cajun initially indecision

    Re: Pajun - 2019 Launch?

Yuk...something definitely wrong with the back door section. It looks like the handle are almost in the middle of the back door. Looks like they took Panamera and just squeezed it...no go

Does it even have a rear door in reality?     Smiley

for J1 it is to early, Pajun is not approved so only Panamera Coupé.

Btw. Panamera Coupé will get a 12 cyl. engine which is under development by Bentley.

So, wait, the Panamera coupe will have a 12 cylinder engine, but not the Panamera sedan?

Interesting. But, it will still be labeled Panamera? Or is this just a convenient handle for it right now?

I heard that it will get it's own (new) model name but... Smiley

I would use Porsche Coupe or Porsche GT, plain and simple but knowing Porsche, I think they are going to come up with something more "exotic". Smiley

    Re: Pajun - 2019 Launch?

So we will get a "very special Panamera Coupe/GT", potentially including 12 cylinder version, at a "very special price", but there is still no word on the mid-engine "960" project...it is hard to believe that Porsche will do both.

The 960 is coming according to various rumors, the question is: WHEN? Smiley

Maybe after they lost half of the potential customers to Audi or other similar manufacturers like McLaren, Lamborghini or Ferrari?! Smiley Smiley

Hmmh, the engine will be developed in the rooms of Bentley so maybe there are some Porsche guys present but the control is in British hands.

There is a cross development, Porsche is developing a 8 cyl, this engine will Bentley get with more power (up to 700 hp). On the otherside Bentley is developing a 12 cyl. which can Porsche use in a Coupé, GT, ..... What I don´t know is the hp figures.

The Coupe is actually the Porsche I was waiting for a couple of years ago but now it may be too late. When the kids are out of the house, a 960 makes more sense. Smiley I'm afraid however that a 960 top version will be more than my R8 and possibly even more than your 650S, which makes it again...unaccessible. Smiley

I am just a curious reader here, but why should Porsche introduce a 12cyl engine, since "they" have downsized  nearly every engine whenever they could for the past 2 years ? Smiley

The first time I have heard this I have asked the same question. The engine is not from porsche, it is a Bentley engine. In a Bentley this can make sense. In a Porsche it makes only sense in a top version car. This car will be for sure around 300.000 € or so.

This car would also fit to me Smiley

Btw. at the end of August (27th) we are making a Tour in Schwäbische Alb. If you would like you can join us, there you have a chance to drive 650s or 570s. It is one day trip.

Also, for other RT Members, if you would like you can join us. Few Maccas driving a little around in a nice area. You can send me a PM.

    Re: Pajun - 2019 Launch?

Seems Porsche will be neutering the Pajun with engines similar or samosa what's in the Macan, i.e. the V8s probably won't be fitted.

    Re: Pajun - 2019 Launch?

My hope is that by having a Panamera Coupe that this car would serve the customers who want a fast, comfortable, sporty, GT car.

Then in order not to be redundant, please return the 911 to its former size (993 is fine), lower weight, and more "pure sports car" purpose.

But, then I guess it could become redundant with the Cayman/Boxster or 960...

Yea, I know that they had one, but in current situation, from flat 6 to 4 cyl. in Boxster/Cayman, turbos in a 911 etc....I thought we're done here with 6+ cyl. for Porsche in the future

+1  My hope as well. Make the 911 smaller;  993/996 size would do just fine.

No way!  Neither a Cayman/Boxster nor a 960 would have room for 2+2 seating.  Smiley

While I don't need the rear "seats" for human passengers, how would I take the dog to his favourite beach in a Boxster, for example, without leaving my wife behind?   Smiley
