    gear change control

    A mate of mine has a 4S tip and says he can control the rev speed at which gears change by using the accelerator (gas) peddle in a certain way. He is sure the Cayenne tip is the same and has seen a link saying so. I cant find any evidence of this in my manual.

    Is this true and if so, can you tell me how to control it.

    I think most automatics do this. I can't tell you how exactly, it's just a thing you learn to do by feel.
    If you first accelerate a bit harder than needed the car will downshift, then when you ease off the accelerator it will stay in a higher gear for a while.
