    Which Grey ?

I love this GT3, but I am not sure which grey.

    Atlas grey or Slate grey?

I think is Atlas grey, anyone can confirm that?

Anymore photos of Atlas grey GT3?

    Re: Which Grey ?

definetely not meteor, pretty sure this is atlas ! or slate..

    Re: Which Grey ?

I think it is slate, though I thought Slate was somewhat lighter. Atlas has a more blueish shine over it,I think.

    Re: Which Grey ?

Right now, I think this might be Slate grey??

Why do you have to pay more for this colour?

    Re: Which Grey ?

It looks like liquid metal, very nice. The greys can play tricks depending upon lighting conditions.

Agree , if its any of them then I would say Atlas....

Could well be a special order paint sample ? , does Porsche do this still ? ...

Seems as if changes their shades of grey quite often. Can somebody give an overview?

think so, but it costs a lot and waiting time is much longer than normal!

    Re: Which Grey ?

Looks like atlas. Check this link for pics of the 3 greys.

    Re: Which Grey ?

Looks to be Atlas to me. Check my sig for my Slate 987S and you'll see its a lighter shade.

    Looks great mind you.

    Re: Which Grey ?

    here's an illustration.

Slate is warmer, Atlas is darker and colder.

Here is a picture of Slate. You can see how the darkness will dramatically change with the lighting.

yes, that is correct. Here's another shot of AG.

Also, it's supposedly a great color because of teh way it interacts with ambient light.

Just as in case of the lighter seal grey: that has a shade of warm brown in it when seen from the right angle.

    LOL.

    What's also funny?

I have both the "Turbo" brochure and the "Carrera and Carrera S" brochure. Both have Atlas Grey in their pretty color charts on the back cover.

Guess what? Though they are both dark and bluish greys: They do NOT match! WOW!

    FUNNY!

    Re: Which Grey ?

    Thanks for the info.

Atlas v Slate, I perfer Slate.

And the moral of the story is:
Never buy a car in a colour that you haven't seen before in flesh, unless it's plain black...

... or rosso corsa for my sake.

Yes mee too. It's warmer color.

FWIW, Would be nice if Porsche offered a warmer version of Arctic silver (another very popular "grey" color). Kinda like a Champagne color.

    Members 997 in GT Silver......

    Re: Which Grey ?

And this looks to be a GT3 in GT Silver , looks good anyway...

    Re: Which Grey ?

This "champagne" color was offered at end of 996/986 run. Was called "Meridian." Lousy picture (sorry) and the actual color wasn't fantastic, but there's a BMW color called "Bronzit Beige" which is (was) really nice. Again, it's like an Arctic silver with alot of gold added. Polar Silver has a _little_ blue added. Blah blah blah..., I guess we'd have to see it (a warmer AS) to know... .

Just say you want a colour from Porsche that's similar to "grigio ingrid".

    Niiiiice!

Thanks for the photo. It's gotta be even nicer in person.

I KNOW everything Ferrari does is excellent taste and design sense. Can't beat the Italians' sense of what looks beautiful.
