I bought the car as second hand in OPC Bayreuth in Germany
Few days later, it appears that the gearbox and clutch were to be replaced under warranty.
so, I have to thank Porsche import belgium for the gearbox and Porsche Bayreuth for the clutch.
I have paid nothing, and I got the car back as it should .
I dont know if the same would have been for any other german car like.......

indeed shifting is ancient technology - so is a fuel burning engine.. I happen to like both :)

I know at least 4 cases of engine or gearbox failures, 2 out of warranty at 3 year + old cars, that were honoured by Porsche without any hesitation. Of course, they'd rather not fail than to be fixed without hassle.
I would never keep a Porsche without the extended warranty scheme. The cost is not excessive. Consider it as some sort of insurance for mechanical failure rather than for accidental damage as in normal car insurance.
