    Please help with 987S convertible top color selection

    Put down my deposit about a month ago on an '06 987S. It looks like my build date is about 1 week away and I'm starting to second guess choosing the black top with Midnight Blue, I keep wondering if Metropol Blue might be better. My initial feeling was that I liked the contrast with the black top, it looked more like a "guys car" with black and it would be easier to keep clean, but now I'm not as sure. Which top color would you choose with Midnight Blue? Any input would really be appreciated! Here's the spec:

    987S 6-speed
    Midnight Blue
    Cabriolet roof Black
    Sand Beige Full Leather
    Leather sunvisors
    18 inch Boxster S wheels
    PASM
    Xenon lighting
    Preferred Package
    Wheel caps color
    Climate Control
    Heated seats
    BOSE with wind deflector
    Self-dim mirrors & rain sensor
    Sand floor mats

    Pleeeease! Do NOT get a blue top with a blue car.
    It looks like some gay stylist went on a coloring frenzy!
    Too much IMO.

    Get a black one. It's by far the easiest to keep clean and nice-looking.
    Alternative: Mediium grey if that exists.
    There you have it...my 2 cents

    No need to stress, with a build date 1 week away your order is "locked" and can't be changed. But for the record, black was the correct selection for the color of the top.

    Thanks for making me feel better guys about going with black! And Dr. Phil, once again you have me laughing.

    Forgot one item on my spec, the sport steering wheel. Had to add it after seeing pics from both wtsnet's and girlracer's sand interior w/sport wheel, looked awesome!

    Yep, the sports wheel is much nicer! Did you go for the standard one, smooth leather?, or padded smooth leather one? (Mine's smooth leather, which matches the leather on the rest of the interior). I'm sure you might have said before! ?

    Cayman, Did you find out whether permanent airbag warning labels are embedded in the leather sunvisors, just as with the vinyl? Or do the labels peel off the leather more easily? I can't seem to get a clear answer to this question.

    Also, just to concur, 100% you did the right thing with a black roof.

    Dr. Phil, and what's then the correct choice for a black car?

    Sorry, but 3 types of color on a single car is to much for me.

    Blue top on a blue car looks pretty good and would be my choice. And believe me, i'm not a gay

    Can't wait to get the car, probably here in early September. I just went with the standard sport wheel, I would have liked the smooth one but I was running out of $. Hopefully, the difference between the smooth interior and wheel wont bug me.

    I didn't ask my salesperson about the warnings, but I did read here that they do peel off easier from the leather visors. I'll be in a picture taking frenzy when the car arrives and will post some shots.
