    Carrera GT down force

    Does anyone know how much down force the Carrera GT has at 186mph and at top speed. I read a magazine and the new chrysler ME12 was tested at leguna seca and produced 956lbs of down force, so i was just curious to see if the CGT produced similar numbers.

    According to the excellent web site www.mulsannecorner.com
    the Carrera GT produces 343 pounds (156kg) at 150 mph (240k)
    Aerodynamic pressure increases as the square of the speed increase so you can extrapolate the other figures from this.
    The factory claims 640 lbs at 205 mph. F 192, R 448.

    These are very low figures compared to racing cars but they don't have the ride height compression problems to deal with. The Le Mans Bentleys produce 3000 lbs at 150 mph

    Th ME4-12 shouldn't be compared to the CGT. It will likely be way more expensive and as is produces a LOT more power than the CGT. (quad turbo AMG v-12, 800+bhp). I believe there is talk of chrysler and pagani teaming up on something right now...
