    Weird 997 hood!

    found this pic on the net, doesnt seem to be a photoshop but the hood is weird... check it out

    I think that's a 996 with headlight and bumper modifications. Look at the side mirrors, they are the 996 design.

    This is an aftermarket modifier facelift offered to 996, posted somewhere sometime ago. I presonally like it and IF I owned a 996 I probably would've spend the$ on this facelift, it's more of a 911 than the previous headlight setup.

    Good eyes Danny G!

    I would very likely choose that option if I had a 996! I've always loved the round/oval headlights.

    Yup, my first impression too, it's a 996. But for one reason, it looks a bit odd to me... maybe because we are used to the normal 996 and 997's...

    The front hood has sharp corners (996) but the lights are round (997). So it's a 996 that's had a facelift. Both pics are of the same car, so it's not a 'spot the difference' test!

    Was this kit available before the 997 was released?

    My old-fart-in-the-larval-stage opinion:

    Why would anybody spend thousands of $$$ to make a 996 look like a 997?

    It has poser qualities written all over it.

    "Oh, I like the oval headlights." Is like saying I buy Playboy for the articals.

    Don't mean to offend, just poking fun- trying for a serious/funny answer.

    Why would someone do that!? it is a 996 with 997 after parts. I mean, that's like a guy with a ferrari turning a 355 car into a 360 simply based on the body, that's so lame.

    Good point guys- I would usually agree 100%. I just like the new lights so much better, so it would be tempting to do the face lift.

    It's made in belgium guys and it scared me to death when i saw ,the first week i drove my 997cab, (wich i was told to be the 2 delivered),a 997S cab in my d-street at the sea.
    But... while passing by it was a boxster fitted with that 997 lokalike nose...
    But to be honest, i like the skirt on the bottom of the front...It's stupid, but nice work..

    It's a company based in Belgium which does these conversions.
    If anybody is interested I can look up the name and webpage.
