What fuel brand do you use?

The 911 Carrera Owner's manual says that using fuels with MMT may negatively affect the emission control system performance. I like to use Sunoco 93 octane, but I believe it does contain MMT (methylcyclopentadienyl manganese tricarbonyl

)
For those of you in the USA, do you know of a fuel brand that is compatible with the 997 engine and that does not use MMT? What brand do you use? Any recommendation?

back in the east coast I feed my cars sunoco 94 oct, out here in the west coast it's chevron 93 oct.

Not sure about the MMT.

I DO add a bottle of BMW fuel additive (techron) every other tankful. Porsche says "no additives" I know.

Octane? Whatever "premium" gas is, where ever I am.

AFAIK, the motronics will adjust for ANY octane. You could drive on regular gas w/o problems (less power of course).

Kevin, did you use the Sunoco with a Pcar back East? Did you get any problem with the emission control?

Where on the west coast are you finding 93 octane Chevron? I've never seen it in So Cal

Sounds like MMT is not so good for emissions, here is an excerpt from a report from SAE:

Emission studies were carried out on clear-fueled and
MMT(R)-fueled 100,000-mile Escort vehicles from the
Alliance study [SAE 2002-01-2894]. Alliance testing had
revealed substantially higher emissions from the MMTfueled
vehicle, and the present study involved swapping
the engine cylinder heads, spark plugs, oxygen sensors,
and catalysts between the two vehicles to identify the
specific components responsible for the emissions
increase. Within 90% confidence limits, all of the
emissions differences between the MMT- and Clearvehicles
could be accounted for by the selected
components. NMHC emission increases were primarily
attributed to the effects of the MMT cylinder head and
spark plugs on both engine-out and tailpipe emissions.
CO emission increases were largely traced to the MMT
cylinder head and its effect on tailpipe emissions. NOx
emission increases were linked to the MMT catalyst. In
addition to heavy deposits on the valves and spark plugs
from the MMT vehicle, substantial deposits were also
observed on the catalyst, with approximately 20% of the
channels totally blocked.

I would avoid any gasoline that uses MMT...

The emission control warranty is 8 years/80,000 miles. Make sure to trade before then!

I use whatever is on my route. I don't buy into the fact that one gas brand is better then the other. Giving that they all come for the same pipeline here in the US. Well 90% of them do. I know each one "adds" their own additives to the gas. But I just don't believe it makes that much of a difference. Now I guess if I was a race car driver or something I would have a different opinion but I'm not.

I use whatever premium gas that is least expensive. I don't believe there are realistic differences among the brands.

Depending on the state, most commonly found in the upper plains states is Amoco/BP. I also normally find Shell, Texaco and especially if you are headed into the southern plains states, Conoco. Always premium grade, usually 91-93 RON.

Do your gasolines contain MMT?
In the United States, our gasolines do not contain MMT
