    Replacing GT3 lip spoiler

    How do the take off and put on the lip spoiler for the 997 GT3? Does the car have to be up in the air, or can you do it on the ground?

    I've smacked mine already, not bad, but for show I'd like a nice unblemished one. Thanks.

    I haven't done it but apparently it's pretty easy. Search here or Rennlist. It's a matter of undoing the fasteners. Make sure you've got a new one first. Last I checked they were on back order.

    Excellent idea.

    Keep the one for daily use, and put the carbon on for the shows if not too time consuming to uninstall/install.

    My dealer has it in plastic, $198, in stock. I'm told I can probably change it myself without raising the car.

    Anybody change one of these lip spoilers?

    On my third one already for $88 from porsche dealer. He got me the price at cost for buying so many damn cars. I highly recommend not getting carbon fiber. You will tear it up and the carbon fiber is $$$$. I'm so careful and still manange to scrape up the spoiler.

    $88 is less than half of what I'm paying. What did they charge you the first two times around?

    I bought three for $88 each. I don't know if he will give me that price again. The spoilers are replaced by my friends at the dealer. They usually put it on for me when I am getting tires or buying a RS wing from them. Not sure if they lift the car. $198 is a fair price. I called some of the porsche dealers in Socal and they were charging $250.

    Thanks. Anybody install it themselves with the car on the ground. My idea was to put on the good one for show, and the smacked up one for everyday driving.
