    Sportec vs Techart vs 9ff vs Rinspeed vs Car vs ??

    I was looking for some tuning packages for the new 997 Turbo, without the substitution of the turbochargers...
    Here are some offers that I found between some of the most known tuners.
    Considering only Europe, which package do you suggest? Any other tuners I should consider?
    By the way, I didn't manage to find any engine upgrade kit based on the new VGT engine from Gemballa and Ruf... Maybe You know something more!

    Ciao Gemini.I suggest you RS Tuning (best in the world for porsche turbo) and also Manthey.
    What specs do you have for your turbo?

    I am doing Sportec stage 3 the moment the car gets delivered from factory. Have tried them extensively with my past 996tt and they know their staff re 911 turbo engines. Btw in most cases real hp is more than that quoted in their website.. Vtg conversion for stage 3 is pretty good I hear- the hybrid K16s for the 996tt I had were a real improvement vs the stock ones- better torque, power and less lag!

    I haven't heard a lot about Wendland, but it seems to perform well in tests, even if all their mods are chip or chip&exhaust only.
    Regarding the Stage 3 Sportec conversion, I wasn't very confident about it's reliability, since VGT it's a pretty new technology...

    i prefer 9ff .. 560 hp .. 755 nm without cams .. just ecu , exhuast and headers .

    Well they told me that they have a few cars running with no problems, EGTs are actually lower with stage 3 than stock and 580hp is really conservative power figure for this stage. Apparently they convert one side of the original VTGs (similar to the other KKK hybrids- don't know more details). Based on my previous experience, factory specs on those turbos leave a lot to be desired and hence am willing to give it try. They give 2 years guarantee and (if you are willing to trust them) that should be plenty for me..
    Was also in doubt by when I recently drove my ex 996tt (540hp, 840 nm,)back to back with a stock 997tt (and raced against it) my mind was clear. Huge difference in torque (fun) and pace.
