Are all the models coming out at the same time? My dealer told me that the Turbo would come after the Cayenne, and Cayenne S. But that was probably to persuade me to get the current Turbo S!

    Re: Latest Facelift News

Feb 07, 8 months from now? how come there is no more updates on the spy pics?

    Re: Latest Facelift News

Has anyone seen this picture of the rear? The 2nd image on the link. Fake?

    Re: Latest Facelift News

Not liking that rear bumper, I hate all these new "exaggerated" wheel arches and bumper designs...

Definitely looks like a photoshop, and significantly different from the pictures of camouflaged test cars.

    Re: Latest Facelift News

I think the rear lights will be very differnt from the current cayenne. If you look at the camouflaged cars, the "rear lights" are just tape. The shape will change in my opinion. Same with the front lights.

    Re: Latest Facelift News

I think the new Cayenne should offer an optional 3rd row of seats for kids. The reason I said optional is because I know some people dislike the idea. Actually, I don't mind having a smaller trunk but with 2 additional seats for kids. This would help the Cayenne to compete with the Q7, GL, XC90 and the upcoming X5.

LOL not everybody has more than 3 kids!

    Re: Latest Facelift News

    Don't forget nannies and/or grandparents!

I can sure use a pair of side-facing seats in the back like those in the Discovery. They can be folded up when not in use.

    Re: Latest Facelift News

not going to happen... They are not trying to compete in that baby carrier market.

    Re: Latest Facelift News

Why not? Like I said, this would be an optional item. Those who don't like it don't have to have this. But this will give Cayenne a chance to compete in all sectors of performance SUV, my 2 cents.

    Re: Latest Facelift News

If they turn they Cayenne into a 3 row vehicle, I will never buy one again. The Q7 or should I say Refrigerator on wheels - looks dreadful because of its disproportianal shape.

Of course is a fake, just look the way the lower line of the side window has been altered to give a more dynamic look of the car.

    Re: Latest Facelift News

    agree 100%

    Re: Latest Facelift News

You will maybe not buy a Cayenne anymore, but other will buy it because of the third row.
And I think that at this moment the Q7 is the nicest SUV on the market (one year ago it was the Cayenne). All is question of taste and if Porsche make a beautiful Cayenne but with third row of seats it will not make problem to anyone.

    Re: Latest Facelift News

Couldn't agree more. Giving customers an option for a 3rd row is not going to kill the reputation of a sporty Cayenne. The car is still going to be a fast and mean machine. But this will certainly help porsche to take a piece of the pie from BMW, Audi and Volvo. To be honest, amongst all these brands, I think most families who wants a larger seating capacity veh would choose the Cayenne, IMO.

    Re: Latest Facelift News

If you guys want a 3rd seat why don't you get an Envoy XL or a Toyota Caravan?

Porsche is not about catering to a family of 5, a Dog and a picnic table. It's about Power, Beauty, Elegance and handling...none of which can be incorporated into a 7 seater.

    NO 7 Seaters please Porsche.

    Re: Latest Facelift News

Why people who have more than 3 children is always obliged to have a car like a veal?

I like nice and powerful cars and if Porsche don't make 7 seats in the Cayenne, no problem I will buy a Mercedes GL 63 AMG, RS Q7 or X5 with the new Bi-Turbo engine. But you must know that it is not because you have 5 children that you cannot buy a nice, POWERFUL, and expensive car... It's not because you have 5 children that you don't have money...

Right now I've a full option Q7 and it is a great car but as I drive most of the time in Germany and only small time in my country (I'm not German) I want a 500+hp 7 seats car.

Sometime people are close mind.... It's pity...

    Re: Latest Facelift News

It's not being closed minded at all!

It's just we don't all need a 7 seater SUV! Why should we all suffer from hideous styling and excess weight (decreased handling) to cater for a minority?

On the contrary, if the Q7 was the same size as a Cayenne, it would be considered far more sporty and elegant. The front is not bad, the back is interesting - but the side profile.....

    No 7 Seater PORSCHE!

    Re: Latest Facelift News

Looks like someone is also waiting for a "QS7" from Audi...

I still remember hearing the 911 enthusiats said when the Cayenne is first introduced - No SUVs for Porsche! Now Porsche is playing an important role in the SUVs sector.

I still think that Porsche needs to seriously consider allowing a 3rd row "Option" for the Cayenne. With the 5 seater Panamera coming, a 7 seater Cayenne project is not a bad idea at all, imo.

    Re: Latest Facelift News

Superfans, I have no problem if they wanted to introduce a 7 seater - but not at the expense of our regular sized SUV.

They can call it the Porsche Longman for all I car - just as long as the Cayenne stays a Cayenne.

LOL: "Look at me, I am an XC-90!!!"
The rear lights don't look too interesting though, but the rear bumper/exhaust assembly does! And it seems to be much more "fendered"...
    -Joost-

PS; I took a better look at the rear lights now; do you see that under the cammo, the styling is the same as that of the facelifted 997 pics? It's getting more and more cohesive!
