Today I read two articles, one in a national magazine and

another in our local paper discussing the various mechanical problems of the Ford GT. The most recent instructing the owner not to driver the car under any circumstance.

Yet both articles indicate the car still commands a premium of $100,000 over MSRP.

Is there a lesson to be learned here? If so, Porsche should subscribe.

what are you talking about? the Ford GT only had 2 recalls and 8 TSBs. the cayenne had over 100 TSBs and a couple recalls (and that's just for the problems they don't claim are "normal" and can actually fix) after less than 2 years of production. porsche is killing ford on recalls/TSBs. maybe it's ford that should do some subscribing :-)

FORD needs a new marketing and publicity team, PRONTO...

    (for the 1st time??)

Ben, driving the Cayenne is no longer pleasurable. It seems like each time I drive it, a new problem surfaces. I now keep a note pad in the Cayenne to record the problems. After the list reaches a full page, I take it in.

People tell me to sell it. The problem with that is I am honest and if the buyer asks I will tell him it is a piece of crap. My resale value is so low, my honesty will make the truck worthless.

Most of my driving time is now spent in the Mini. What a blast!

yeah, you're probably better off trading it in on something else because dealers won't care about the problems and will be happy to lie upon resale.
