    Torsional rigidity

    Does anyone know the torsional rigidity of the following models please?
    - 996 Coupe
    - 996 Cab
    - 996 Turbo
    - 996 Turbo cab
    - Boxster
    - 360
    - 360 Spider.
    Thanks in advance.
    I had a look at the Porsche website but couldn't find anything.

    I know only one thing: I wouldn't put a coilover kit with extreme lowering and very stiff dampers on a 996 Cab or Boxster.

    How about X73 on a 996TT Cab?

    This is the kind of thing the engineers know, but the sales department avoids talking about.

    No not possible. I know you can't put stiffer springs on the 996 cab than M030, unless you potential damage to the structure, I was just curious that's all.

    I was speaking of a Turbo (996TT) Cab. I know the cabriolet chassis has been much reinforced for the turbo application. Just curious.

    Just came off the phone talking to "somebody" about this issue. Official statement: not approved and not recommended.
    You might also loose the warranty for the retractable roof mechanism.
    Unofficial statement: as long as you don't track race it and stay with the OEM rims/tires, not really a problem.
    Of course you have to expect more noise from the body and roof and again, there is the problem with the roof mechanism.
    Also NOT recommended: operating the roof on a X73 Turbo Cab while driving!

    So you're saying Porsche would do it? Say with the help of someone influencial like ermm... you
    I agree, it'd be a bit OTT for a cabriolet to go for a setting such as X74.
    Is it possible to get a intermediate set up like 10mm lower than turbo or turbo cab?
    I don't think so as I've never heard of it, but then, maybe through Exclusive? Herr Duwendag is full of ressources plus he's a really nice man!
    I remember his stories, I mean, if Porsche can make a 996 cab with a gun holder instead of the cup holder (That was for a Texan client, True!!!), surely you can lower a TT cab by 10mm no?;)
