    isn't 1400 kg heavy, I thought Jermey clakson said of the CC8 that it was lighter than a mclaren F1

    Doettinger Hoehe is Nordschleife's longest straight. In fact, it's the longest straight of any "racetrack" in the world. The CCR hit 192mph there.

    And the "Schwedenkreuz" is another high-speed part on the North Circuit and actually one of the most challenging parts on any circuit. You go through a small valley, approach a crest and turn into a fifth-gear left turn before decelerating for a 2nd/3rd gear right-hand bend.
    The following decline is another tricky and challenging part, called the "Fuchsröhre".

    You should check out one or two videos of that circuit to get an impression!

    I think the result for the CCR is amazing. this proves that the CCR is a great handling car. It's even faster than the time for the GT on www.track-challenge.com under very similar track and atmosphere temperatures!

    Wrong time. The Carrera was driven in damp conditions, bordering on the wet. The official benchmark time is 7:32.

    If you are blaming the rainy weather for the 7.40 time how do you expain walters post here:

    From the latest issue of Autobild Sportscar:

    Bentley Continental GT 8:40.30

    BMW M6 8:07.76

    Gallardo SE 7:56.65

    Mercedes CLK DTM AMG 7:56.50

    Porsche CGT 7:39.49


    They didn't say which driver drove what car for the best lap.Each driver drove every car.The drivers were:Walter Röhrl,Tom Kristensen,Klaus Ludwig and Prinz Leopold von Bayern.
    Notice that the lap times are quite close to the ones of Sport Auto.

    You can't go past the fact that the CCR is a great handling car and I have no doubt that they will produce a car to break the ring record AND the fastest top speed for a production car.

    Compare Supertest numbers to Supertest numbers, not the Auto Bild numbers.

    The 7:32 lap time is the official record.Track data was published and all.

    On the Autobild test,Walter Röhrl said that he promised to his wife that he would drive slowly.

    Howerver you look at it the CCR is a very impressive car with an amazing lap of 7:34 with a top speed 50kph more than the CGT. Achieved a top speed of 388kph/242mph at Nardo gaining a world record.

    Not a problem building a fast car. The problem is, however, preventing it from falling apart.
