Personally, with a Guards Red exterior, I would go Beige interior, especially for hot climates like Fla.  The Red/Beige combo reminds me of my first 911 Turbo I ever drove, and that car still gives me goosebumps.

The two-tone Blk/Beige would be my second choice, followed by just Blk.

    Looks too elegant...

    Perfect for South Florida....

    Re: 991 Turbo advice

While I think the beige is very nice with black tone, the cognac and espresso gives the car a more luxurious note, while keeping the exterior sporty. I can't not deny the fact that while black interior would make more sense inside a red car I still believe this new turbo offers me a more luxurious treat that any 911 before. And I plan to take advantage of that.

if I wanted a sportier version I would have chosen the GT3 or the cayman. For me the new turbo is the Swiss Army knife of the Porsche Line.

So while we are discussing interior and exterior color how about a comment on two items?

1.) What leather interior options to value the most and on the 991 TTS Configurator.

2.) What is the glass sunroof interior visor screen look like and how much does it keep the sun out of the interior?

3.) Okay, one bonus question; Do you value the Burmeister audio package?

Seriously? I think I'm leaning more to the latin casual stuff... Smiley This is actually why I love Florida, casual wear without a suit and a tie, unless of course you want it (but I usually avoid these circles...not that they would want me there anyway Smiley). I would order a Bentley with a light (brown, beige, etc.) interior but not necessarily a sports car. Maybe this is me... Smiley

Correct RC, thats why I think it needs the 2 tone. Either black/beige or Espresso Cognac..... hence my choice of the last Smiley

but full beige is nice too. Clean look. Nothing wrong with it.

I guess you cant go wrong in any of the colors or combinations. Its a world with 2 hemispheres, the exterior and the interior. I chose to make each, a special one.

    Two tones. Yummy.

    Re: 991 Turbo advice

Two tones...YES. Also it is true what Kreso said...beige leather and jeans...not a good combo. So if the owner wears jeans very often, a light beige interior is the wrong way to go.

Actually, I wear only jeans, so this would be the wrong interior for me. We had a Cayenne Turbo S with that kind of light beige interior and the seats looked really bad after over three years of ownership. It can be cleaned though (so I have been told).

We own 5 cars with all light interiors. They all look great and show no sign of color leakage from jeans.

easily solved by applying GTechniq L1 leather guard, and by wiping seat with baby wipes regularly.

This is indeed another problem, this is why I chose the black/Carrera red bi-color interior, so the upper part is black with red stitching. I also ordered the steering wheel with a thick red stitching, it looks amazing (see photo).

I heard that many of the Turbo S test cars at Bilster Berg (presentation) had Turbo rims and a Carrera red natural leather interior because they (Porsche) needed the Turbo S wheels and black/Carrera red bi-color leather for the first production cars.

    RC any opinion on the following;

1.) What leather interior options do you value the most on the 991 TTS US Configurator.

2.) What does the glass sunroof interior visor screen look like and how much does it keep the sun out of the interior?

3.) Do you value the Burmeister audio package?

    Re: 991 Turbo advice

    Hank:

    RC any opinion on the following;

1.) What leather interior options do you value the most on the 991 TTS US Configurator.

It really depends on the exterior color and personal preferences/taste or maybe even the region you live in. Not easy to tell.

I chose the bi-color (black/Carrera red) interior because the exterior color is a bit dull (Agate grey) and I wanted to make the car look sportier/different from the interior. White would also have been an interesting choice for the same interior combo but in the end, I just couldn't get a white Turbo (my wife has a white X3 35d, so...maybe not the right color for a sports car).

To be honest, the interior color choices are pretty limited. I actually only like two more interior combos, the Espresso/Cognac natural leather two-tone and the black/Luxor-beige two tone (for a more elegant approach). The Espresso/Cognac combo is between the more sporty black/Carrera and the more elegant black/Luxor-beige interior.

The only exterior colors I would go with are black, Agate grey or GT silver but this is me...so...

For a more elegant approach, I would choose dark blue metallic or Amaranth red metallic.

Red and Racing yellow would be interesting colors if you want to attract attention.

All the other colors don't fit the 991 Turbo S too well in my opinion but to each his own I guess.

2.) What does the glass sunroof interior visor screen look like and how much does it keep the sun out of the interior?

As far as I remember some sort of thick dark cloth but I never actually paid attention to it. It works pretty effective though, there is no sunlight coming in through it.

3.) Do you value the Burmeister audio package?

To be honest, no. I had Burmester in my Panamera and loved it. I have Bose in my Cayenne and like it (see the difference?). I am an audiophile person, even if I don't hear classic music but I just had to put a limit to the car's value and I started with Burmester. Burmester is great for the Panamera and even for the Cayenne but I don't seem to see the real value in getting Burmester for a 911, as weird as this may sound. I will listen more to the sound of the engine than to music and when I listen to music, it will be for short periods of time only (weekend fun car, remember?). So Burmester is great but for ME, in MY 911, not worth it.

    Re: 991 Turbo advice

I just love that boring beige interior with one exception, give me a black upper dashboard. I have also grown a little tired of red, so match that beige interior to a white exterior with a black foil wrap for the front (hood / bonnet / trunk).

Mostly issues of dealing with glare, but also an intersperrsed black and (white/beige) theme works for me.

That black and red two tone interior just looks (well to each his own) but kinky to me. I would love to see it in person, but would never get in the car.

I think on the 991TT will look awesome (sans the green notes)

The interior looks more white than grey, from the outside its a stunner. Choices.... choices..... choices......mail

    contrast is what is needed.
