    Help with question about 996 Cabs...

    Having discussion with a friend, and i told him that the the 1st cabs to come out with roofs that would go up/down while moving (30mph) were the 996 C4S and TT Cabs...this was due to the fact that they have more strengthening in them than the narrow body cars...

    He says that this also came as satandard on some of the later facelifted 996 Cabs's...if which i don't agree..

    Can anybody find any reports to prove or deny this please ???

    Well, I was just trying to get the message across to you gently.

    I don't know introduction dates, but I'm pretty sure all Cab versions of 911 went across to the new roof operating system within a short period.

    From MY2003 on the 996 Cab roofs could go down while driving less than 50 km/h.

    Indeed, a friend has a 996 C4 cab from 2004 and roof definitely goes down while driving up to 50ish
