Stopping the windows freezing shut
I had a problem over the previous few years where, in the winter, the side windows used to freeze over night. In the morning, still below freezing, the windows would not drop when pulling the door handle, meaning you couldn't then shut the door until the window had defrosted.
Found a fix this winter. The issue was with the window seal strip on the inside of the glass, at the top of the door panel, particularly near the rear by the roof seal. Overnight, moisture was getting in and freezing, sticking the strip to the glass. Sprayed rain-x combined screen cleaner and rain repellent on the inside of the glass and wound the window up and down a few times. Sorted.
Now to sort where the moisture was coming from in the first place. I bet it's just a seal on the outside. Have you checked the seals along the A-pillar etc? usually a small tear in the fold can be enough for moisture to enter. Also, was the just a driver side issue, or both sides equally? Nicely simple fix though!
