CloseAccording to our sources, the 997 Carrera S & GTS production will stop this autumn, around September.
So if you want to order a Carrera S or even GTS to your liking/specs, you better hurry.
Many dealers, especially in Europe, hardly have order slots available, especially for the GTS.
997 Carrera 4/4S production continues for another year or so.

GTS demand has increased lately, so I'm not sure about how limited this model will be but I bet that the resale value will indeed be better or at least demand(compared to the regular Carrera S). The GTS could actually harm Carrera S resale value and used car demand in the future.

Fully agree, GTS resale will put a whole on Carrare S resale value

However, the GTS is a small % of all 997s produced even 997.2 to make a big impact on others.
GTS will command a premium but this doesn't mean that normal S will drop compared to what would have been without the GTS model.
BTW 997 is the best and most complete 911 in history (so far) and it will be sought after in the used market for many years to come.

Clearly one of the main reasons I chose to order one last September, but since delivery I'm also finding that the car is everything I could ever want in a 911.
This could make it a keeper, for me at least.
RC - you mentioned, on another thread, that a 991 GTS was on the cards for much earlier in the model range than with the 997. Is that still the case...any further information available?
