    Spoted 2 camoufladed 997 Turbo in South Africa

    Last week, in the eastern cape, between Umtata and Kokstat, I have seen two black camouflaged 997 Turbo doind tests.
    Could those be turbo S ?
    Sorry no pics, I was too slow with my mobile.
    There were also 5 facelifted black Cayenne and a Cayman.

    They were doing the same in California last week....

    They are probably testing the PDK tranny, Turbo S or maybe even both.

    or maybe they are just regular 997 Turbo's that got lost

    I heard that around the Eastern Cape ther is some off road test facility for Cayenne, probably the reason for the high number you spoted. And in the Northern Cape is a high speed facility. But thers definatly more they come for, not necaserally established facilitys but roads and climate as the Testers are very often in SA. Around a year and a half I watched a video of some guys reciving a special dragster from the US at JHB airport, and in the background I saw a glimpse of a Porsche whith a Turbo wing, most probabely a very early test mule. Around 6-8 years ago when I was living in Cape Town about 12 Porsches passed me on the Highway, probabely also test cars.
