    F430 have much better air dynamics comparng to the 996 GT3, and of course, bigger HP output also helps. I am just surprise the LC of F430 did not give it the edge over GT3. Probabaly something is wrong with the F430 LC system...

    That was not a standard GT3, look at the wing... Might be an indication that something happened under the hood as well.

    Hasn't it been said that this GT3 is a special version from some Japanese tuner?

    Nice vid. The F430 guy was obviously backing it off and loping it thought.

    And judging by the engine not, that's not a normal GT3. It's had some work done.

    Kinda a old vid, if I remember properly the GT3 isnt standard yeah... No way a 996 GT3 can pull on a 430 like that from a start....
    BTW Joost, do yourself a favour a watch the vid with sound, the 911 sounds awesome....Totally overpowers the Ferraris sound IMO

    I think a GT3 could get the leap on an F430 because t has better traction: less power, but better ability to transfer it to the road.

    The other factor is the driver's ability to launch the car. With closely matched cars, the real variable is the driver. It would have been interesting to see them switch cars and repeat the race.

    That is a 996 gt3. The 997 gt3 would do better.

    Your right but the advantage would not be that big...
    I owned a 996 GT3 and trust me, it would never pull away from a 430 like that...
