The car looks so much better without those ridiculous round fog lights!
You are so right!
BTW, front foglights are the most useless option, next to electrical seat adjustment.![]()

I don't see the big deal about the sunroof really.
I reckon most will righfully get the GT3/ GT2 without it, but for some costumers, it's a definite plus.
Adds weight is the wrong place indeed, but to them, the added pleasure of a sunroof is worth it.
Additionnal sales for the firm.
I have it on my 2S and really like it. Having said that, I consider my car a great compromise between fun trackdays car and GT.
I wouldn't get it on a GT2/ GT3. However, I'd probably get Aircon, Sat nav and sounds system.

and... a sunroof!
This must be the US version. But come on! Look at it! Now imagine it coming at you from behind at 330 km/h

You can't imagine the sheer frustration and anger derived from US Porsche motorsport fans, when they put their good money down (100k+ for a GT3, and ~$170k+ for GT2?) and get a sunroof, without the option to get rid of it.
It's a slap in the face by the beancounters.

Maybe...maybe not...
My sense is PCNA doesn't have as robust a dialog w/repeat Turbo/GT2/CGT buyers as FNA has w/its repeat buyers....to gain insights re: what features/specs on current/future cars are truly valued....and how much these jaded buyers would be willing to implicitly pay for these "dream" features/specs....and for costs of P's crash-testing of a 997 w/o sunroof for US certification of perhaps <500 GT3/yr and 50/yr GT2s (in a good initial launch yr
)....
Or perhaps P's high-end repeat buyer base is more price-sensitive than we realize, forcing P to adopt frugal approaches to keep MSRP at tolerable levels, while preserving profit margins which P shareholders demand....![]()
