    Where can i find pics of the 2005 Supercup(with 997 GT3 Cup)????

    This may sound like a silly question, but what kind of white is that on the GT3 Supercup? I want to know what the traditional racing colour is for Porsche. I know it is white (also seen recently in GT1 and RS Spyder) but which white is it?

    As Superduper Darius wrote, the current color is carrara white. But that doesn't make it the "traditional racing color", because a few years ago Porsche used alpine white.

    Glad you found it useful. Would be even more glad if I could be sure my information was correct!

    The white color used before carrara white was in fact biarritz white, and before that glacier white. In the early 993 days, current shade was grand prix white.

    I don't know where I got the name alpine white from, maybe it goes back to 944 or 968 4-cylinder days.

    Haha, thanks again. It was useful for me as I was trying to decide for myself the colour of my next Porsche (hopefully Cayman) and also to convince a friend to order a white 997 GT3. I always knew that Porsche racing colour is white, but didn't want to get the wrong white. Seeing that there isn't a set one, we can just go any white! Is biarritz the really bright white? I like that if it is.

    Wished more people think like you and I! Good choice. Any indication when they will start delivery of the 997 GT3? I am assuming you are talking about the road cars and not the Carrera Cup cars? My friend is very keen on one but we haven't talked to the dealer here yet on the availability.

    Yes...I talk of road cars..

    My dealer (in Italy) will receive first two cars in June 2006..and one of the two is mine..

    But i know nothing more than you on specs,price etc..

    so i can't wait to have more news!!
