    EVO mag tests delimited CL65 (186mph)

    The tested CL65 AMG was NOT delimited, it only got the speed limiter adjusted to 300 kph (187 mph).
    A delimited CL65 AMG is NOT available from AMG, official reason seems to be the tires.
    A delimited CL65 AMG would probably run around 340 kph (212 mph) or even more.

    Yep. It's said in the text, that the barrier is just raised from 250 to 300 km/h.

    So that makes around 37 sec from 0 to 300 km/h...

    CL65 seems like a lame car on the autobahn.....it caps out at 187MPH while a 575 blows by heading for its 202MPH top speed (we are after all in the game of comparing autobahn capabilities). But if CL65's steering feel is as horrific as CL55's, I wouldn't feel safe driving it above 100MPH.....but those V12 Biturbo badges convey rap star status as one cruises through LA's Westside at <25MPH....but a convertible SL65 may work even better for that function.....

    Steering on the CL55s I've driven is fine for high speed, almost the same chassis as my S55 and the steering is very similar it provides a more than enough information at high speed to give you a fairly good idea of whats going on with outbeing too tiring, unfortunatly mine is limited to only 156mph (250kph), fuel consumption's much better though

    To me, SL55 steering is excellent, whereas CL55/S55 have too much luxury car steering feel. Hopefully, AMG will modify CL's steering rack to emulate SL55's....

    Just saw the new prices from M-B and SL65 goes for 327 000 Euros, where as SL55 is "only" 209 000 Euros.

    Is the price difference this big in other markets or is the Finnish importer getting it's yearly revenue again?

    RC; when you speak about the envy problem in Germany, visit Finland sometime and you'll find Germany isn't that bad after all

    It sounds more like your taxman is getting his yearly revenue, because the importers' margins are generally "controlled" by the manufacturers.
