964C2:No, Max will replace Lewis.......
It's that a 'hope'
if anything, I see Max in a Ferrari more than in a Mercedes.
Hamilton, Vettel and Max all have their contract finished at the end of 2020. So is Bottas. And Leclerc.
2021 will be the first year of the new rules. So it could be a gamble to go with Mercedes, Ferrari or Red Bull.
Now if Hamilton win this year, and also the crown next year, he would have 7. Will he retires? He will be 36 at the start of the 2021 season, will he gamble another year to try for #8 and be the GOAT? Mercedes and him have had a great partnership, so I would agues first choice would be to return. One seat gone.
Vettel is 2 years younger, he might still have some fire left before hanging it up ahead of Lewis. If Leclerc continues his domination of Vettel, Ferrari will retain him, perhaps letting go of Vettel instead.
Now if Vettel loses the Ferrari seat, will Red Bull sign him back? Or will Mercedes try for him? I see Red Bull having a bigger chance.
Having 2 hyper competitive drivers have proven to be not an ideal situation for Mercedes, see Hamilton and Rosberg. So I don't see Mercedes signing Max if Hamilton returns.
Could Ferrari gamble with signing Leclerc back AND add Max? It really could happen if Mercedes wins this year and next. Ferrari would be desperate to try and win the championship.
Max could also stay put at Red Bull, new rules might favour them.
In simple terms, 2021 is WIDE OPEN!!
Ferrari again tried to slow down Leclerc by giving SB earlier new tire and then keeping Leclerc out way too long . It worked . SB got to the front ..... until CL came back so quickly the they had to admit SB will not win . Happy for his well deserved first Ferrari win .

Really exciting race and very happy for Leclerc. I doubt it would have been possible without Vettel holding Lewis up for +/- 4 sec though.

In the after race interview with Vettel (in german) he was very calm and relaxed. Seemed to be totally fine with the victory of Charles. I really would not be surprised if Vettel will stop racing after this season. Vettel gave the impression he did not care too much any more.
Adam R:I can't picture Seb retiring yet. I'm sure he's more frustrated with Mercedes' dominance than the rest of us and wants to beat them. He and Ferrari screwed up last year, so I don't see him just giving up.
Not at Spa His Ferrari basically blew past Hamilton on Kemmel like Lewis is standing still............... WITHOUT DRS.
spudgun:Was a pitbox guest at Red Bull Racing this weekend, very impressive outfit...
What!? Never knew you were the famous person you are! Who would've thought, big fan!

No need to blur the (verry pretty) face in my case. Cheers, guys
That pitbox experience is really something else, being right in the action listening to all the comm in your headset....deep respect for all the crews who are working under immense pressure in these very tight quarters while being watched by tourists like me . Not so many pictures to show unfortunally, due to the no-photo-policy.
Met Mika Hakkinen, started to stutter. So starstrucked, could hardly speak. A first for me.

Did you witness a pitstop being carried out close to you as well? Must be nerve-racking for these guys. Shame for your experience that Max crashed out so early, I assume if they're battling up front excitement goes up to 11.
