    Factory -20mm springs on PASM

    Has anyone installed the -20mm suspension springs on their 997S with PASM? Are the -20mm euro springs actually lower compared to the PASM springs? I'm seriously thinking of removing the H&Rs.

    I believe that if you order the car with -20mm suspension, you forgo the PASM, not sure tho.

    What I'm saying is, can the springs from the -20mm suspension fit on to the PASM shocks/struts and at the same time lower the car? We have no option of chosing the euro suspension here in the states, and this maybe a solution for lowing our PASM equipped cars without going aftermarket.

    Springs and shock absorbers have to be carefully matched to the proper rates. I think you may have a problem in the standard mode of PASM which is alot softer than the shocks on the -20mm suspension. I think the springs need to be a bit softer for PASM (between the standard and sport modes). -20mm is closer to the Sport setting on PASM...

    loday22, Why do you want to swap out the H&R? Is it too low? too harsh?

    Yes, the H&Rs springs are pretty harsh. Normal mode on PASM feels very bouncy on bumpy roads. I'm hopefully the euro -20mm springs would work and also lower the car a little, or my only alternative is to wait for Bilstein PASM coilovers.

    My dealer takes only springs from Techart to lower PASM cars. Drove such a car the other day and I must say that the ride was more comfortable in the standart mode than my
    -20 mm chassis, however, in sport mode the ride was very bumpy and not as harmonically as my car.

    Thanks loday22, maybe you should try TechArt, It only lower 15mm and not as harsh as H&R (H&R lower by 30mm).

    The Techart website only indicates sport spring that drop the car by 25mm. Does anybody have any other information about these springs that only drop by 15mm?
