Sounds like Alpine is the only team that's willing to accept the Andretti team's proposed entry. Makes sense for them as the Andretti team plans to initially use the Renault engine. Surprised that Zak Brown withdrew his support, but I'd wager Mercedes pressured him to do so as Mercedes is very vocal about their being against the Andretti/Cadillac team. Certainly the FIA is all for the Andretti team.

Enmanuel:Is the pushback entirely about the profit dilution? Given the recent popularity growth in the US, having a recognizable brand like Cadillac join the mix could bring in a lot more money which would even out the split. Or am I oversimplifying it?
There are all sorts of excuses being made by the other teams as to why they don't support the new entry, but I think it's all about protecting their revenue like you say. The Concorde agreement says the FIA can have up to 13 teams, but I don't know if the FIA can force through a bid or not.

hmmmm - Cadillac is non existent in the sports car world of America, and in suvs, it's a badge stuck on GM cars to charge more$. A meaningless brand. But great for old people:
