    PCCB Racing Brake Pads - needed for DE events?

    Hi there,

    I have a 997S with PCCB brakes and was advised by the head mechanic at a local dealership that I might want to put racing pads on for DE (Drivers Ed)events. I called PMNA and found out that they are not available since 997's are not racing in North America.

    So a couple of questions:

    1. Do I need to switch over to racing pads before doing a DE event with the local porsche club?

    2. Can I get the pads from outside North America?

    I think that the standered pads are fine if your not going to push your car a lot.. But I am no expert..

    Nick - give the Porsche Driving Experience in Birmingham a call..ask them what they are running on their C2S's equipped with PCCB's.

    Suffice that whichever pad it is..they work remarkably well.
