    997TT Factory Installed Titanium Sport Exhaust

    There was a post earlier that there was going to be a factory installed sport exhaust available this year. Does anyone know if this is true and when it may happen?

    I asked the dealer and I was told this has not happened yet.

    Any other info regarding this? I thought that any development for a sport exhaust for the 997TT was cancelled.

    Not going to happen now

    Porsche have canceled the development project for the Sports Exhaust on the 997 Turbo as they couldn't get it sounding good enough

    Alex,

    Hmm. Does this means there will be no Sport Exhaust option of any kind for the Turbo in the future? Or it's just the Titanium system that won't be available? Even more incentive now to just go for one of the after-market exhaust systems?

    I like the sound a little louder plus a different character--less continuous tone, less vacuum cleaner like. To me, this is the one and only glaring "defect" of the Turbo. I am seriously considering Fabspeed Quiet.

    I have the FS quiets, sound much better than the regular gen 3's. BTW they are not a quiet system, more of a moderate one, akin to the tubi. While the gen 3's are a loud system. They were too loud for me.

    No Sports Exhaust, including any Titanium variant.

    I am looking at either Tubi or Cargraphic right now myself. CG is supposed to be more performance-centric whereas Tubi is supposed to be more sound-centric.

    I went out in a Tubi 997TT last week and was impressed but not overwhelmed by the sound. The owner said the Turbo pickup was a lot faster after the Tubi was fitted. I am waiting for a Cargrphic 997TT to be available to listen to.

    Don't forget Europipe as an option. I have it on my TT - love the sound. Quality and fit are outstanding.

    (From one gs pssr to another ) Did the car's response feel differently after exhaust change, I mean as far as the seat dyno is concerned? TIA.

    Can, yes there is a big difference in the SOP feel plus the dramatic sound improvement. The turbos spool up faster and the boost is BAM right there! Sort of like going from isoflurane to desflurane.
