    12v power sockets....

    Girlie got me one of those TomTom go things for crimbo so for the first time since getting the car Ive tried to use the 2 extra 12v power sources in my 987 with no joy!

    The normal cigarette power source works fine but the other two, one in the passenger footwell and one in the central storage bin dont seem to work.

    Anything special I need to do to get these to work or are mine just broken!

    Checked the fuses ??

    The tyre inflator should only be used from the cig lighter, as should any larger appliances. If used in ther other sockets then you may have blown a fuse

    Nope, thought about looking at the fuze box but didnt get around to it!!! Pretty poor show!

    Will check tonight, although I doubt the TomTom blew them as it needs a 12v power supply...

    Hi,

    Not really help....but i use the one in the footwell to run BOTH TomTom PDA and Road Angel.

    The other two also power phone chargers and headset chargers!

    Shame!! Those of us with MY06 don't get one in the footwell.

    Still, Road Angle has just come out with a new one that has baterries that last for a week between recharge. SO no wires needed!!

    My 06 987 has a 12v outlet in the passenger footwell. Its always on, however, so you need to remember to unplug whatever is in it when you park, or it will flatten the battery...

    If fitted with the Bose upgrade, 06 cars are fitted with the footwell socket!

    Delbox may have gotten an 06 that was built with some of the last footwell socketed consoles.
