    Re-locate 997s from Florida to Germany

    My employer is offering me a job for a few years in Germany, which would mean to move my household (and 997s) from Florida to Germany. Does anyone know:
    1) the technical differences between a Florida/US 997s and a German 997s ?
    2) what it takes to get US/Florida 997s registered in Germany (modifications/cost/who does this) ?
    3) is Porsche US warrenty honored by Porsche Germany ?
    4) what is needed to get same 997s back on US streets later ?

    I guess if you plan on keeping it for a while you'll wind up paying shipping costs to-and-from Germany...

    The shipping shouldn't be much of an issue. Depends wether you choose to send it by ship or plane, which results in differing times of travel.
    I know of U.S. military members who were able to ship their cars for free - at least that's what they did in the past. Maybe you know one of them.

    I am not sure how taxation comes into play when you are US. citizen and stay in Germany for a while.

    It should generally not be an issue in regards of Porsche warranty, I would contact PCNA or Porsche in Stuttgart for any questions directly. Technical differences shouldn't be a huge issue, sidemarker lights and US. headlights shouldn't need to be changed nowadays, I believe!

    Maybe your company offers you a leasing option for the time you are in Germany - which city are you going to be in?
