ferrari owners configurator -- PLEASE !!

Ferrari owners out there please share your entrance to the ferrari online configurator at the owners site !!

just because we cant buy a ferrari doesnt mean we dont share the passion

    jeje please !!

Re: ferrari owners configurator -- PLEASE !!

I don't even know how to logon to the Ferrari website

Re: ferrari owners configurator -- PLEASE !!

jeje its really easy ... if u have the password !!!

Re: ferrari owners configurator -- PLEASE !!

I sent them an e-mail telling them that I ordered a scuderia, and I would like access, so they asked me to fax them a copy of my order! I honestly didn't appreciate that so much, and decided to drop the issue... I recently sold my C2S Cab. and I am taking delivery of a scuderia in October, and I hate to say it, but Ferrari have the least interesting website out there... especially the closed configurator part...

I might be wrong, but I expect something like this

    2009 Ferrari Car Configurator

Entrance $10, Configure $10, Special color $20, Carbon Fiber $20, any changes done before proceeding to check out $40 , Total: $200 + VAT

    Maserati

They probably have thousands of people doing the same - so I understand from their point of view.

I've got my car already so no need to bother with their website.

Re: ferrari owners configurator -- PLEASE !!

how stupid is that.....have to be an owner to conigure a car....a website is basically a marketing tool for existing, future and potential owners......

thousands doing the same of what? configuring!!! come on... even THAT has to be a priveledge! it's too much... I will surely not adopt this spirit once my car is here...

Re: ferrari owners configurator -- PLEASE !!

I was able to get in but ever time I tried to post the link it would not work.

Sorry, I guess you need to be owner.

If the public were able to access it, I guess they would be inundated. Hell, I can't keep Ferrari logo tire caps on. They take them.

i hear what u say about it being boring but still they should open it to the public, it IS a marketing tool, and besides it would be fun to try out diferent options ... they never know who could become a new client

Re: ferrari owners configurator -- PLEASE !!

Not that different from a test drive... Unless you are convincing them you are buying the car, no chance to drive it...

We were able to get in once when it was first posted here. Then they blocked it or removed it, I only tried that one time.

i think their mentality is that once you have bought one - you will be more likely to buy another one then random people on the net. maybe they trying to give it that "up there" type of feeling. but ferrari are too arrogant IMO

Re: ferrari owners configurator -- PLEASE !!

well i never heard of imposible being the best policy on bussiness but it seems we're just gonna have to live with that

Despite all the crap I've heard about Ferrari dealers, I walked into Miller Motorcars in Greenwich CT dressed like a slob and demanded a test drive, they obliged much to my surprise.

Mabye it was because I made a few high speed passes 5 minutes before in my GT3 with straight pipes... Those salesweasels can smell money from a mile away

What dealer did you get your 612 from? After "buying" into the club, were they forthcoming about how realistic it was to get a future model at MSRP?/etc/etc?

    Best,

Mike if you owned a Ferrari dealership you would not operate any differently. They have a product with very low production volume and high demand. Most dealers are lucky to get two allocations a month. Thus, they need clients who are willing to work with them in buying and selling cars. Some guy off the street should not be able to buy a car in front of a long time customer.

You may consider it arrogance (probably in some cases it is) but for the most part many are just trying to run a profitable business. I witness first hand how these potential buyers take a lot of time and have no intention or the means to buy a Ferrari. The sales people become very adept in trying to weed out the real from the fake.

Hi nick - i understand that, but one can easily tell the difference between professional and plain rude + arrogant. My dealer didn't call me ONCE in my 3 years of having a deposit at his dealership. NOT ONCE IN 3 YEARS! I pitched up in the Phantom a month or two ago and his was more than ready to help me. Previously I always drove there with one of the SUVs
