    windshield problem

    tonight driving home I noticed a strange glare coming throught the windshield when passing under street lamps. It was almost unbearable causing a headache immediately. I have heard of this occuring in other cars before. Is my windshield defective?

    Was it only the one time? I can't imagine how a windshield can be defective in terms of optics, especially on a factory windshield from Porsche. If you wear glasses I would suggest having an anti-glare coating on your lenses. Was your windshield perfectly clean inside and out as any opacities could cause increased glare much like a cataract would increase glare.
