    Cabin filter replacement?

Getting a bit steamed up inside. Screen isn't clearing very well at all! Odd, as I had a full service in May. Anyone know where the cabin air/pollen filter is, and how accessible it is?

Are you putting your AC on to dry the air when demisting? A lot of people do not, because it is counter-intuitive to do so. If so, is the AC working properly?

The pollen filters are under the plastc covers in the boot, directly in front of the windscreen, but I doubt they would be so clogged up that they would cause this problem.

Check your bulkhead hasn't clogged up with leaves, which means rain water can't drain away.  It was a big problem on the 986 but I'm not sure how much better the 987 is.

Thanks for the responses guys. Do you mean 'on' as in cold air fritz? Think the drains are clear GR, but will check.

I'm sure fritz meant to not have your AC compressor turned off. Some people do that.¨

I meant that AC should be switched on (by pressing the button marked "Auto" on your car, if I remember correctly). The thermostat can be turned up to a temperature which is comfortable once the cabin temp has stabilized, but you can also press the Demist switch initially, which also has the effect of the fan being switched full on, and loudSmiley. Would help mask the noise caused by tire flat spots when you first drive off from cold, thoughSmiley).

The benefit is that AC first cools the air causing its high moisture content to be reduced (surplus water is drained off onto the road) then heater coil warms the air as soon as coolant temp starts rising. You then have warm dry air hitting the screen, instead of warm damp air which would just dump condensation onto a screen you may already have wiped.

I just mentioned this because I know that a lot of people in mild climates think that the AC is just something you need on those rare hot summer days, and they have it switched off most of the year.

Also, if you get a lot of moist inside your car, it can take a while for it to dry out when it's cold. My father-in-law's car always gets ice on the inside of the window, very annying.
