Good that he stayed healthy.
I mean - it needs some qualification to handle such strong cars. Just yesterday I talked with a friend about those rental-supercars. It is irresponsible to rent out such cars to people not used to it. Those guys are driving a 70HP Golf and fulfilling a life dream to sit for one single day behind the steering wheel of a Ferrari. How could you seriously rent out such cars to people without experience?

Absolutely. Surely insurance premiums paid by theses companies would mirror these risk. I suppose thats why its 850 a day along with a hefty deposit....

Just next to the unlucky Ferrari driver this embarassing video of a guy maltreating the poor 918 (obviously not a rental car judging from the german numberplate)

You need quite a few rentals at £850/day plus one £5,000 deposit to profitably cover the cost of writing off a £200,000 car.
It's not surprising that the car rental company owner didn't sound too pleased with this outcome.

Jeez, what a place to do it in. He had to avoid the guy in the red shorts, which took him in the direction of the parked vehicle.

They might as well deploy, since the car has been written off anyway.
It is the PSDO - Porsche self destruction option, an intelligent system recognizing if the car better vanishes itself before something worse happens.
