Z06 with optional 8 speed will be priced at almost 991 Turbo level in EU.
Litte to much:
100.000 usd, 10% tax, 19% vat = 130.000 usd = 100.000 €
this will be the eu price

ZO6 will cost way more than €100.000 when it come to EU in Spring of 2015.
Then we will have a lot of us-cars in Europe - in US the Z06 will be around 40% higher priced then C07. They announced with all options that they will stay under 100.000 $. US cars and motorcycles have here a price around 1$ = 1 €. Why should they think they can get more? And if we get the Trans Atlantic Free Trade Agreement signed the price should be about 10% less.
I think it depends on what country and what idiotic tax-system the country uses.
A standard C7 for example costs EUR 70k in Germany, but EUR 125k in the Netherlands, which is also an EU country. Long live the European Union.....

There have been no official pricing releases, but the rumored price in the US is about same as Cayman GTS (which coincidentally has almost exactly half the power and torque).

At the official presentation they claimed Z06 full loaded under 100.000 $. You can see the video on their official website.
The GT won't compete with the Z06. Completely different buyers/brand power. That said, if you dont mind the badge or the aggressive looks, the Z06 will be the car to have if your requirements are a high performance car with an engine in front and 2 seats.
And yes, in the US the loaded Z06 will be under $100K. Impossible to beat in terms of price/performance.
Of course the AMG GT won´t compete with Z06 - I doubt that it should compete with 911 so much. MB will try to place it in its own target group or nearby the Maserati or so. A gentlemen car - a GT.
Z06 price is rumored to be around 135k EUR. This is the price of the GM officially offered car, not a grey import. Grey imports will be only slightly cheaper (around 120k EUR or so).
I took a look at the C07 and my local dealer wants 73k EUR for it (69k EUR after rebate). Beautiful car, especially in red (seriously) and very stealth (and nice looking) in white. Already saw two C07 driving on the street here, very nice street presence. A real bargain, this car sounds great too.
I would never get the Z06 for 135k EUR though but I am thinking of getting a Challenger Hellcat at some point.

I predict the Corvette design will age quickly and badly. It looks like a caricature of what the car should be.
I don't know, I actually felt the same when I saw the first photos of the new C07 but I actually think that the designers did a good thing, similar to what Porsche does with the 911. Only that Porsche kept the round forms and the Corvette designers tried something new, moving away from the "round" shapes. Not sure which design will look outdated in ten or twenty years, it will be pretty interesting to see that.

Where did you get this information? This would mean a totally different pricing in US and Germany compared C07 to Z06 their and here. In US it will be under 100k USD, you can check it on the official website.
Our local Corvette dealer...
The old Z06 was already over 120k EUR. The old ZR1 was over 140k EUR. Official prices.
For 100k EUR, the new Z06 would be a steal.

Most ZR1s in the US were about $120K, and the new Z06 will be fully loaded under $100K.
If the ZR1 was 140K Euro, then I'd expect the new Z06 to be around 110-120K Euro if pricing stays similar.
If you can get over the badge and like how it looks, the new Z06 is probably a steal even under 200K Euro. I would not at all be surprised if it was the highest performance car in the world aside from the LF/P1/918. The old one was already just as good and possibly better than every exotic currently available, and I'm sure this one won't be any worse. Rumored 650hp, 625tq. I wouldn't be surprised if it was something like 7:10 on the Ring with proper set up.

Are you serious? The old Z06 wasn't really a competitor for any super sportscar and while the ZR1 certainly was a good sportscar, it was still no real match to the competition, even if GM always astonished people with fabulous track times, similar to Nissan.
I would get a ZR1 now for under 90k EUR (a German dealer had a new one with only 1000 km for 89k EUR) but I would not get one for 140k EUR. Also, I would not get the new Z06 for over 100k EUR, sorry. The C07 however is a steal at around 70k EUR but I would actually prefer the new Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat for the same(?) money.

Torque difference as well?
With turbocharged motors you almost always get as much or more (in ft-lbs) torque as horsepower - achieved by increasing boost. The only motors that give more hp without more torque are n/a where the redline is raised to achieve the increase (like GT3 compared to C2S).

65 - 12 cyl

Torque difference as well?
Yes. For example (but, these are not accurate numbers):
AMG GT 480ps/720Nm
AMG GT S 520ps/760Nm
Anything about the weight? Any AWD (4matic) models on the horizon?

....until the latter type of motors eventually blow up.
