watt:Sun is looking back! He's considering:
- a 2008 GT2
- a manual 2018 GT3
- a 2011 GT2
- a 2007-2011 GT3 RS [he's already had an 07 though]
Any advice or views for Sun to consider greatly appreciated.
What do you plan to do with it? Track, or nostalgia drives? What about another CS?

If you did not have a manual GT3 , 991 , I would take that one ....... if it is not intended to be a track toy.
A 2008 GT2 would be a nice challenge if used on dry pavement.
2011 GT2 to have a tamed beast .

What about another CS?
Just cruising the Rockies, the season is May -October, 2 lane mountain roads, no traffic, no parking issues, so gorgeous manual box makes sense.
By CS do you mean another Challenge Stradale?
Low mile Manual tourings more expensive than manual GT3 w wings right now [$200usd vs 155 usd], and ideally Sun wants to say goodbye to centre locks. A good low miles 2008 GT2 is 195usd, IF he can find one. A good low mile Speciale is 350usd...
boytronic:Manual plus High revving = Fun! Therefore I’d drive the 997.2 RS back to back with 991.2 GT3. Also a lightly used 981 Spyder could be lovely for touring with the roof down.
981 Spyder - great idea thanks. Boy have they improved the roof operation since the previous one I owned! I've been toying with a 2017 turbo S Cab as a summer rig, but they're ...... somehow wrong

GT3 Touring manual...
You could also get a Huracan Performante but hey, you don't want to get a heart attack...

the-missile:GT3 manual with the wing as it should be. the Touring is non sense to my brain.
The wing-less 911 is always the most beautiful one. Just my opinion though. Funny enough, I prefer wing-less cars but in the case of the Performante, I think it fits the car perfectly, the normal Huracan looks...naked. I even liked the rear wing of the R8 Plus. My wife fell in love with the rear wing of the GT3 after I got my Performante, so...
She drove the Lambo once for a couple of kilometers and exited it completely stressed out "this car is not drivable".
She wants to get a 992 Turbo S Cab as her next car but she also loves the GT3, no kidding. I doubt however she is going to want one, there is no convertible.

Several sources have indeed confirmed it is still in the cards.
On the subject of a Touring you've made your point quite clear many times now. One could argue that a 'wingy' is only a halfway house to an RS... but hey, it still makes sense somehow.
@watt: There is quite some love for a 2008 GT2 here. I keep harking back to it.

Still cruising for a 2008GT2 Duckie, hard to find perfect car, too many children drove them and wrecked them. Also a 1300 mile Speciale has come in view for a fair price... so we shall see. Sun and Sky will have a Board meeting....

You may already know this but the total worldwide production run for 2008/9 997GT2 was 1261 units so it is a rare bird.
If you need any details about this model please feel free to ask I am somewhat of an anork on the subject

No, no surprise. I know that a GT3 Touring convertible is coming but it won't have the GT3 wing. She wants the wing.
