    what do be the difference between this and the Wankel Rotary engines?

    Among other things, the Wankel has a one piece rotor that seals against the housing in three places while the quasiturbine rotor is in four or more interconnected pieces that seal against the housing in four places.

    What do I think of the quasiturbine? In it's present state of development the quasiturbine is little more than a cool idea. The claimed advantages are all theoretical. It seems to me there could be a number of technical or practical problems to be overcome. There are a lot of moving parts there that are going to be exposed to combustion chamber temperatures. Is it possible for this design to ever operate reliably? I don't know.
