    @stradale - No worries mate! Park assist topic will keep going long after us bud...


    I've said this on another thread it think... I do regret having the holes on the rear end lol... but as for the benefit of having something tell me that my rear is cool all the time everytime is not a bad idea. at the same time I do wish that it was less visible on the bumper as it makes me look like I cant park my own car

    I agree that it's nice to know when something unexpected may be in the way. It has come in handy on my view-obstructing, gas-guzzling, Prius-mocking, non-PC BMW SUV.

    My issue (besides the look on the 997) is that it gives a constant tone when you are within a foot of an object. I don't know about other parts of the world but here in San Francisco, the parking margins are much tighter than a foot in most cases. When they have parking assist with millimeter accuracy, I'll check that box.

    Gee, I wouldn't want to park my Porsche in the tight spot you describe at all, with or w/o park assist. Too many people get in and out of parallel parking spots by Braille. Pull up til you touch; back up til you touch, etc. I guess you have no choice. And for the poor soul who has to hand his keys to a valet, that's too bad. They'll be driving snow plows in hell on the day I give my Porsche to a valet.
