Porker:Great few autumn laps at the Nordschleife yesterday, beautiful weather and the scenery is just amazing in this season. Highly recommended to go in autumn instead of these overly busy summer days. The downside unfortunately is that the track might be closed due to the weather, which was the case today, as ice patches didn't melt, they decided against opening.

It was actually ok with just the valves closed on the more silent muffler I have now. Just about under the radar!

One wheel up is usually cornering force yes, but with two wheels almost up I assumed a bit of a kerb bounce in this shot? Only the driver knows....

I'm not sure where the picture is taken but there's not many curves where you could/should take the curbs on the Nordschleife, and the ones where you can, are uphill/downhill sections so don't think there's curb involved here.

Done my first few laps of the Nordschleife in 2020, atmosphere unfortunately wasn't comparable to normal times. No post driving beers with likeminded idiots, no strolling the parking lot, etc.. But at least we could drive. Until the police chases all foreign plates out, and all had to leave the country at risk of being quarantined. They proceeded to inform we would be welcome again from Monday onwards. 
On track all enjoyable until a Z06 in front of me lost its coolant/oil in the descent at Metzgesfeld, it sent himself into the barrier or at least into the grass and me properly sideways but thank god still on tarmac. After being sent home all there was left was to enjoy the empty autobahn and let the GT3 run free, 331km/h (no I didn't take the pic) with the wing in full downforce mode is not too shabby imo!

Whoever has the magic dust to rotate photos as they should, please be my guest. Regarding the TPMS warning, don't sweat it, I wasn't doing 331km/h on flat tires, after track work the TPMS always freaks out. Pressure was 2.3 all around.

There was nobody there. Have crossed multiple borders over the last week for work etc... never any issue. At the Belgian border they even asked for a burnout.

schmoell:Thanks for sharing Frank; was it worth the effort with all the restrictions ? I can't help myself, but I can not get into track mode at the moment. Maybe I'm wrong and it's a lot of fun
I understand that mindset, I just view it as sports. If people go golfing, why shouldn't I go tracking if all precautions are taken.
That said, it certainly wasn't as fun as it usually is. For me 50% of going to the Nordschleife is the driving, the other 50% is having a beer and meat at the Pistenklause with likeminded idiots, and that is completely gone obviously. The place feels much 'colder' in days like these.
