If you are expecting a sudden, instantaneous road-to-Damascus kind of change then expect to be disappointed.
But if you are prepared to be satisfied with a gradual freeing up of the engine which seems to result in performance increasing to a plateau arrived at at about 8 to 10,000 km, then that corresponds to my observations with several 911s - air-cooled and water-cooled.

I've 16,000 kilometers on mine and the following is my experience. The exhaust note has improved substantially from delivery. My car seems to have better throttle response than was the case when I first passed the break-in period. The engine seems to be operating better since 10,000 kilometers. It may very well be just the loosening up of the engine versus any preprogramed remapping, I can't say.
