Service and after sales are the bread and butter of a dealership. That is were they make the most money.

At my main dealer when you want to get an allocation for a special car, they do look at your ''spendings at service and workshop'' to favor an allocation or not.

I agree. Unfortunately my dealer no longer honors that relationship. Every new car has a dealer markup. On GT models they are getting $120,000 over MSRP. I’m told the 992 GT3RS will likely have a markup of at least $150,000. Oh, when I asked who was paying the inflated prices regular or new customers only one regular customer had paid over. The rest were off the street buyer’s. At some point the pendulum will swing back. USA car manufacturers are warning their dealers not to do this. If they continue their allocations will be reduced.

My days of buying Porsche’s are over.

Personally, even if I could afford it, I would not pay above sticker on a 911GT, it's a matter of principle and self dignity... I don't know who these people are, but I don't see long time customers doing this, but rather new customers to the brand.
