    Stainless steel tail pipes

    I have seen some pics showing the standard tailpipe in stainless steel. My dealer could not locate this option during my order. Not the XLA, XLA is the option code for stainless steel tail pipes in round shape. Any knows how could I get it after delivery, I mean the standard tailpipe in stainless steel.

    The standard pipes are all stainless steel! Some just looks duller than others. I suspect that when you get the car, the exhaust will be chrome-like, but after time it will dull to a dark grey.

    Well, the standard ones are the matt stainless steel that is a little dull and yellowish - it is an option to order the chrome finished (ie, sport exhaust tip) at least on the boxster, so should be the same with the Cayman. BTW, the chrome tip does add a lot to the look of the car.

    There's no option to add anything to the exhaust, there was an XLA option which added a dual pipe rounded chrome exhaust but that's now gone, available via tequipment

    Chrome tips are a waste of money...it's very easy to polish the stainless steel tips and make them very shiny.
