Sport Seats Rock!

I finally got a chance to sit my rather large body (6'6" 250 lbs) in the Sport Seats, non-adaptive. They fit great, are very supportive and comfy- no problem with pinching or pressure points.

They are tremendous!

I'm sure I'll love the adaptive seats even more.

WOW! Same weight and an inch taller and I prefer the standard power seats.

Yeah, GA5656- the Standard Seats are excellent too. You can't go wrong with either choice!

I love the way the Sport Seats seem to wrap around... feels very secure.

I also think they look great as well.

I'm 6'4" and the same weight. I went withe the adaptive seats and love them. When I get aggressive on the country roads the seats will just not let you go! Not to mention the support.

Yeah, I have to agree one thousand percent. Remember when we were all worried we'd choose the wrong seats?! WOW can THAT fear be laid to rest.

Here's more: I guess I messed up my lowerback doing a little too much windsurfing and I debated if I should drive my 997 w/ adaptive SS because of the annoying pain and stiffness. After a two hour drive I got out of car and FELT GREAT! WOW!

Great to hear MMD!

Porsche did a wonderful job with the Sport Seats- they fit like a glove, couldn't imagine a better fit. That's one less option I need to decide on.!

If you get Adaptive Sport seats, does the passenger seat have exactly the same options and controls as the driver's? Do both have lumbar support?

What about for regular Sport Seats?

Adaptive sport seats are the exactly the same (mirror image) for both driver and passenger.

I'm not sure about others.

I wish I had the adaptives or sports! Does anybody have any info on retrofitting? I talked to a guy at the dealer who couldn't give me a firm price, but said he thought new adaptives (if ordered) were gonna be like $3000 EACH! I want 'em, but not that bad. Does anybody have any info?

Oh..., it's gonna be baaad. There's no mercy from Porsche on "parts" like that. Sorry. I think your best bet is to wait for 997s to start crashing and go to the salvage companies.

6'6", 230lbs here and the P77 sport seats for me are great!!
After 8k km in 3 months, I could never now justify the price difference ($3775 vs $1050 Cdn) between them and the P01L adaptive SS.

You and Mike(W8MM) were the two tall P owners who assured me they would be a great fit- you guys were absolutely right on!

Based on what 69bossnine and STRADALE have said about the adaptives, I'll likely opt for them.
