CloseMore important if something is optional or standard - at least to me - is the price of the option. If the value for money is right, I'm not afraid to tick the box and pay the price. I just get angry if I feel I get ripped-off by the manufacturer.

Every car company I have ever known makes a huge profit on the options offered. Porsche is certainly not alone in this game.
I represented one of the largest Ford dealership in the U.S. for years, where the dealer made very little on the sale of the base car, or on service. The money was in parts replacement and addtional options added to the base car. I can recall when radios, tinted windows and white sidewall tires were options, and the dealer made more profit from one of these add-ons than on the sale of the standard car...
